Personal Friday - Columbus MS Photographer

This is from a few weeks back... in the fall, we like to take a weekend trip to the beach since we dont really do a big family vacation during the summer.... and by this time, its not outrageously hot or crowded which makes me a happy camper.  

This evening, we went to the beach and werent planning on getting in the water (hence the kids in their clothes)... we figured we would just play in the sand and let the kids stick their feet in the water.... I dont know why we always believe this will work because by the end of our beach time, everyone is soaking wet - the water is just too nice...

*and this pic is also a good reason to hire a professional... unlike what it looks like, the beach actually was pretty full... :)

Tuesday & Zack - Columbus MS Photograher

Meet Tuesday and Zack... arent they beautiful!  And super sweet too - I love working with them.  Tuesday wanted with a more rustic and vintage feel so we headed out to Zack's grandfathers place.... with an old barn, a tractor and plenty of open space.... we added some gorgeous light and these two pretty much could do no wrong.... hope you enjoy!

Yes, its Thursday which means I should be doing my link love post... but since I havent gotten to do it in awhile, the links have piled up so I dont want to bore you with a million links in one post.... so I figured Id make a couple posts next week and it would be easier on both of us!  So be looking forward to that.

Cant believe tomorrow is Friday... I thought it would never get here.... definitely looking forward to this weekend and maybe sneaking in a little bit of rest here and there... once October hits next week, I will be going full speed and its going to get crazy!

Sneak Peek - Columbus Ms Photographer

I did Gabe's birthday pics a few weeks back but havent really gotten to post them yet, but soon!  This is probably my favorite of the whole lot... b/c it absolutely says "Gabe" to me.  We were just talking and he was trying to think - goodness, I love that boy.   Cant wait to show you some more of the shoot tomorrow!

Man, it is starting to get crazy around here... and it doesnt promise to let up until December.  I am so, so thankful to be so busy.  It makes me so happy... and busy it is.  By the time, December gets here, I will be layed out on the floor, super exhausted... but then after about a week, I will be ready to start it all over again.   Funny how that works.

 Ugh... not liking this new blogger interface... why blogger why?!!!

Anyway, its personal Friday and I thought Id show you a few pics from our vacation last year.... since Emma and Wallace's birthdays are only 2 days apart, we decided instead of doing 2 separate parties in rapid succession (b/c I dont think you should have to share a party), I decided it was easier on this mama for us to just take a trip, especially since we hadnt been anywhere all year and this was November... so we headed to the Smoky Mountains for a few days...  and it was wonderful! (flashback: look at all that hair on Emma!)

Jakob - Columbus MS Photographer

So I want to take a minute and introduce you to my friend, Jakob. We have been friends for awhile and he is about to graduate with his engineering degree so he figured he needed a few more professional headshots instead of the ones he had on his phone... and by the way, ladies, he is single, is really sweet and has a good job... :)After the safe pictures, I convinced him to go a little bit more edgy, and I think we both loved the results... and the steel beams are a throwback to him being an engineerHad to get this shot!Caught this one in the moment...Jakob is also a musician so we had to get some shots with his guitar as wellthe light was so pretty.He will probably kill me for posting these, but I dont care because I love these - I asked Jakob to do these for me and I love how they turned out... I think they also are a great way to show how fun Jakob is as well....So yeah, be forwarned... if you ask for pictures, Im probably going to push you out of your safe zone and make you do something crazy... but honestly, those will probably be your favorites...

Whew... so, so busy - I love this time of year! Its crazy, but its amazing and I love being a small part of it. If you were thinking about booking a session, now is the time - I have about 4 slots open for the rest of the year, and thats about it.

So the mentoring session and purple couch fund were a bust.... oh well, better luck next time, I guess.

Tina & Robert: the wedding part 3 - Columbus MS Photographer

Alright, so we finally get to the wedding and reception... It was absolutely so sweet and Robert and Tina have the most amazing families, and I got to be a part of it for a day or so, and I couldnt have felt more blessed...

two of Tina's daughters, arent they cute?!Here comes the bride.... I love silhouette pictures.I mentioned they were fun, right?!On to the reception....And receptions make for the BEST people watching... :)Dont you wonder what they are talking about? I bet it good!Got to tweet about it!Love how the mirror reflects their faces.The best way to end the night... laughing in the arms of the one that you love!And of course, you know I gotta include a ring shot... :)Tina and Robert, yall are truly amazing.... you are so blessed to have found each other and to have the opportunity to make it official. Your family and friends are so special - I hope we stay friends for a long time!
