Emma

I went back through my pictures and realized that I never posted any from Emma's 3rd birthday pictures. And thought those would be great since the weather was still warm then and it made me long for spring to hurry up and get here.

I have a hard time believing that my little muse is 3 already. And whomever said that the two's were terrible, well, they just didnt have a 3 year old yet.... Not that Emma is "terrible" but goodness is she a diva... a bossy diva. But she can also be the sweetest, most charming child who loves to cuddle. Does a mama's heart good.

There is still other part to this shoot... a totally different location.... so maybe Ill post some of those later, I would love to hear your reaction. But for now, Im posting these... pictures of innocence, of a sweeter time... of fairy dresses and tea parties.

Adrian & Frederick

Adrian and Frederick - what can I say? They are just beautiful in their own right.... actually Frederick probably wouldnt want to be labeled beautiful, so I'll call him dashing. I love how they mixed up the typical black or white clothes and made it all their own.

Cant you just tell how in love they are? I cannot wait to photograph their wedding in April. Adrian has already given me just a taste of what she has in mind, and its going to be so much fun.
.
Have a question? Email me at talleyimages@yahoo.com or leave a comment, I would love to hear from you. Seniors, now is the time to book - slots are filling up fast and time is moving quickly. Dont wait until last minute... :)

Kelly & Justin - the wedding!

This day was just full of surprises... probably the biggest one for everyone that day was the weather - it originally was supposed to be a beautiful warm day. Well, Im not sure the sun ever came out that day, and I think the high was 35... so it was cold. But it was warm inside with a wedding full of family and friendship.
.
Normally, I love color, but I processed alot of Kelly and Justin's wedding in black and white. There is just some emotions that cant quite be contained in any other format. I was going to do this whole post in black and white pictures, but I just couldnt. There are a few pictures in there in color that just had to be shared.
.
As always, click on the pics to see them bigger (and some of them really must be clicked on to do them full justice!)... and enjoy!

Kelly and Justin, I hope that you grow closer with each passing day. And that your marriage is one of joy and understanding... :)
.
Email me at talleyimages@yahoo.com so we can talk about your wedding and what you are looking for! I love meeting with brides and figuring out how we can make your wedding all about you. If you are thinking about it, please dont wait... I am starting to book weddings now for summer and fall, and I am only taking a limited number of clients this year. I hope you are one of them.
.
And if you are curious as to what Angela won (scroll down to the bottom) for commenting, then check it out... its an uber-cuter anchor necklace that I fell in love with off etsy.... yep, you never know when I might give something away just for commenting.... thats how I roll... :)

Tips for the Non-Traditional Bride

Hi, its me... Addie.... I have a wedding upcoming to post later this week, but wanted to have something new up here....

And since I am an internet/blog/etsy diva who loves searching for stuff.... which includes wedding-related items... I thought I would post a few of my recent finds.

These are mostly for my totally non-traditional brides... sometimes its hard to find things that are totally unique and different... where the un-normal is accepted and celebrated, so I thought I would offer up a few ideas.

http://www.offbeatbride.com/ - this is a wedding site dedicated to offbeat weddings... I adore it... most of the brides dont wear white and they have fun new decorations. This is a great site for finding cute ideas on the cheap.... be forewarned though, it does feature alternative weddings and cursing, so if you are easily offended, you might want to skip this one.... my favorite wedding so far is this Alice in Wonderland inspired one - the bride has pink hair and has a pink dress, her bridesmaids wear pettiskirts and dont even get me started on the reception - pure bliss! (if anyone is thinking of doing a wedding like this, please, please, please hire me as your photographer!)

http://www.thevintagebride.com/ - if you love vintage (like I do!), then this is the shop for your wedding gown.... its all vintage gowns - and most of them are under $1,000 - which is cheap by wedding standards.... I love the poofy chiffon ones.... and it offers free shipping! (I heard a tip that although most of these are in smaller sizes, the extra fabric from under layers or train can provide enough to do alterations with)

http://www.stelladot.com/sites/tvaranini - jewelry... and its totally unique, and beautiful, and not half as expensive as alot of others Ive seen... and this is totally real stuff that you can keep and wear way past your wedding

Ok, and I must admit that I am an etsy-aholic..... love it.... LOVE IT.... love it... my latest favorite feature is the time machine.... cannot get enough!

Here are a few of my favorite (sort of) wedding-related shops
http://www.etsy.com/shop/RedLightStudio - the cutest custom cake toppers.... adore the birds! I love that these can be totally used as a decoration in your home later.... and for something so custom, they dont break the bank!

http://www.etsy.com/shop/runwildhorses - bridesmaids gifts! These are amazing little quirky pieces of art disguising themselves at jewelry.... and so affordable! Love these! There is nothing like giving someone a gift that has them written all over it.... these are perfect for that!

http://www.etsy.com/shop/amymiwen - a most excellent groom's gift.... lets face it, guys are hard to shop for - they want something that they already have (but honestly you are ready for them to just throw it away).... here is something that is totally custom, and so totally rad! I cannot imagine a groom getting these and not thinking you were the most awesome bride ever - like you totally get him! And then he will want to buy you that piece of jewelry that youve had your eye one..... or maybe not... but he will still think you are awesome!

Ok... thats all Ive got for now.... none of these stores/shops/websites paid me... or even know I exist... I just love their stuff and thought you might too! I would love to hear the shops you love - leave a comment here or email me at talleyimages@yahoo.com and keep looking for that wedding!

Oh, and just wanted to remind everyone that all of my photography profits right now are going towards our adoption... so you can feel good about getting some great pictures, making a new friend (that would be me), and also knowing that your money is going towards bringing a little one home to their family. For everyone that has supported me so far, thank you is not enough, but its all I have right now... so thank you!
