Personal Friday - Columbus MS Photographer

Let me give you a little clue.... we are weird at the Talley house... unapologetically weird and we love it. One of the big things that we do at our house is stick random things on our head and then take a picture. My kids do not really know this is not really socially acceptable behavior... and I kind of hope they never do... :) (does that make me a bad mom?)

So that is where today's picture comes from.... We just had gotten done eating dinner (hence the messy face) and I was looking for something in a drawer and found that bug, so I just put in Wallace's head and took a picture... and I think its cute, so there! (Wallace hadnt gotten his new glasses yet, if you were wondering where they were)

I will be there again from 3-6... and then Im going home, eating dinner and we are watching Labrynth - a first for my kids and I cant wait to see their reactions..... :)

(we watched Pee Wee's Big Adventure earlier this week for the first time and their reactions were priceless!)

Sadness...

I came up to coopers closet today to find that one of the storybooks on my table had been stolen.

If you are reading this, please bring it back... no questions asked.

It was a little golden book, it had a pink cover with a duckling pictured on it and was called The Fuzzy Duckling.

This is my daughter's book and she will be heartbroken if its gone forever... Im sure it was just an accident that it was taken, but we would love to have it back.

The Crawford Family

The Crawford family... arent they completely gorgeous? And they are from out of town. It was such an honor for them to choose me to do their pics. And I think they really turned out nicely! And they are really sweet to boot! I dont know why I am so blessed, but I am so thankful.

I think everyone had a really good time that day... for the most part. :) Thank you Crawford family for letting me take your pics and be a part of your day!

As always, dont wait to book your own session... September and October are already almost full... I am now starting to book for November. So if you are thinking of getting some Christmas pics done, dont hesitate to book.

Would anyone be interested in a day of mini-sessions? Something like one Saturday in November, I would take about 6 mini-sessions that day.... costing about $50 and you get a cd of 5 images to use for your Christmas cards.... just an idea I was entertaining.

Reminders

I just wanted to let all the parents of the Jumps, Kicks, Splits recital that those pics are set to expire next weekend.... if you plan to order, please do so this week!

Also, I will be at Coopers Closet this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons... and Saturday morning.... please come see me! It will be in the former Lia's Fashions store... next to Hallmark.

And now Im just begging..... if you are thinking about doing a session or wanting me for your wedding, please do not wait! I have already had to turn down a few sessions and weddings b/c the dates they wanted were already booked.

If I could give one tip to brides.... your photographer (whether it be me or not), should be one of the first people you book (before the cake, the catering, the flowers, etc).... And get someone that you like their photos! This is the one area of your wedding (ok, maybe besides the dress), that you dont want to settle for. Your wedding day will be a blur and the only thing you will have from it are your pictures.... not the cake, not the flowers, you wont even have the dress out to look at all the time... you will have those photos... hopefully to show your grandkids one day...

And dude, where is all the love? I have posted 7 (count them 7) new sessions and not one single comment?!! *tear....

I love you anyway.... :)

Coopers Closet

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be a vendor at Coopers Closet this year.... and I could not be more excited!

It will be in Columbus, in the old Ace Hardware building.... right next to Ashley furniture and behind the new McAllisters... It will be March 12th (10-7), 13th (10-7) and March 14th (9-2, half price!)

So please, please, please come by my booth and visit with me... or else I will feel really silly sitting there with nothing to do.... even if you arent interested in kid's clothes, stop in for a minute.

I will have some new products there so you should definitely come check them out.... which include some huge canvases, a new hinged album and a new wallet-book.... so if youve been wondering what all I have to offer, please come see me..... or if youve just been wanting to sit and chat.... please feel free to come by. And this isnt just for parents.... if you are getting married and need a photographer, come see me!
