Crazy Week - Columbus MS Photographer

So did anyone/everyone see the bridal insert in the Columbus and Starkville papers this past Sunday? Did you catch my ad? What did you think? I was advised by quite a few people not to use this particular ad because it wasnt very traditional, but I had to stay true to myself. And I love it. No reason why my alternative brides out there cant have a place and wedding photographer willing to see their dreams come to life as well... :)

If anyone has an extra copy, Id love to have it... I always try to give a copy to my brides who are featured and I am one short.... can anyone help a girl out? Email me at talleyimages@yahoo.com

I dont know who decided to make this week so crazy, but they did a good job. I have coopers closet all this week - including Saturday... also Sunday, I have the big Premiere Bridal show in Tupelo ($3 discount on tickets if you go to the website)- which includes set up on Saturday.... not sure if youre not involved, if you ever really realize how much prep work, set up, booth work and take down there really is - for both shows... so Sunday will be busy, busy... so no break this weekend for me... I guess its a good thing I love what I do... and I cant wait to meet all my new brides!

Yall come out to the show on Sunday - Im giving away a big discount and alot of fun prizes so it would be worth your while to come see me.... plus, they are giving out a prize for best booth so everyone at the show needs to vote, vote, vote for me!

Wedding Ideas - Columbus Ms Photographer

Ive just seen a few wedding trends and ideas lately that I am loving, so I thought I would pass them on to you!

My favorite trend this season - and I really, really hope it catches on is colored wedding dresses...
if you follow www.rocknrollbride.com and www.offbeatbride.com then you know that colored wedding dresses are gaining in popularity, but they hadnt really hit mainstream until this year, when both Elie Saab (via the Wedding Chicks) and Vera Wang introduced color into their collections... I hope it sticks!

Oh my goodness... this cake is absolutely killing me... I dont know if I could eat it, but I sure do wonder how it tasted and what flavor it was.

Ok, Im going to share something with you - Im a scientist at heart - I have a batchelor's degree in chemistry and Im a total science geek at heart... so I totally swooned over this chemistry based unity ceremony - wow, and youve got to read the explanation that goes with it... LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

Ok, guys (if there are any guys reading my blog!) - here is a huge point winner for you.... get a card or gift for your wife to be - and have someone deliver it to her while she is getting ready (or during the first look) - now thats the way to start a marriage... and these valentines are absolutely perfect any day of the year....

Shelley & Keith - the wedding: the ceremony - Columbus Ms Photographer

Ok, lets be honest - I share way, way too many pictures. Thats my weakness, but then I really want anyone who sees them to feel like they were there at the wedding itself - I want them to see it with new eyes and marvel over all the little details like I did the day of... so hold on and get ready, here we go.... with the ceremony.

Jessica & David: the wedding - Columbus Ms Photographer

I met Jessica and David over a year ago when they helped me with a project, so I knew their wedding was going to be simple yet spectacular and fun... and they didnt disappoint.

Check out their music selections... :)The ring shots are always some of my favorites... and have definitely become one of my signatures.Jessica made for a gorgeous bride.A little fun before the wedding... :)And who knew the Hotel Chester was this pretty? Who knew the groomsmen were this pretty? Go figure.Of course... its always the reception thats the real party.... food, drinks, fun and pretty girls... :) Jessica and David, yall were amazing... your family and friends were some of the sweetest people that Ive ever met - they just treated me like part of them - for that, I am forever grateful... your wedding was just beatiful and I could see your fingerprints all over it. Thank you for letting me be a part of everything.

To say Ive been busy would be a bit of an understatement... its all kind of been a blur, and the rest of the year is looking like its not going to slow down too much... especially since I am starting to feel a slight change in the temperatures when I go out in the mornings... looks like we are in for some nice weather soon. And that means, I will book up quick. If you are wanting to do a shoot, please dont wait to book it - even a month or two in advance.... one of my least favorite things to do is tell people that I cant.
