Harvest Fairy, part 2 - Columbus MS Photographer

Here is part two of the harvest fairy shoot... different location and the grass/weeds were thick over 4 foot tall... so like a good mother, I placed my 6 year old right in the middle of it... :)   But it was fine and we took advantage of the last little bit of light... :)

So happy with them!  I have a few more shoots to show you but Ive had to hold off until after Christmas and New Years so those will be upcoming soon!  Hope yall had a great Christmas and holiday break!

Harvest Angel:part 1, Columbus MS Photographer

So yay!  I am finally getting to show these pics off... I think I did them in November, but it took forever to edit them as I had a million clients pics to work on and I wanted to really do a thorough edit job on these as I was going for a bit different look than my standard fare.... I adore how these came out and Im so glad that the locations I picked worked out (lets just say no person in their right mind would have taken their 6 year old daughter out to them)... and the light was perfection... so I think they turned out pretty nicely.... :)

Ill try to show part 2 tomorrow.. yep, we went to 2 different locations and took all of these pics in about 45 minutes since we were losing our light... but I think they turned out perfect... :)

I need a little recon work done... anyone feel like being sneaky and want to help me out?

The Winter Queen - Columbus MS Photographer

After my interview in The Real Story, where a few of my pictures were published, a few of you asked to see more from the The Winter Queen shoot... so I am all too happy to oblige... hope you enjoy!A huge thanks to my model, Katina.... she was brave enough to get into that water and she did a great job with the shoot! These were taken in a cypress bog that had been filled with rainwater... it was waist-deep and dirty which meant you couldnt see what you were stepping on or in. I am so lucky to work with such amazing people!

I love doing these kind of fantasy shoots... and Ive heard that others enjoy seeing them... so I thought I would offer these to the public. I have tons of dresses/costumes on hand, if you are interested. These are totally fun shoots and they dont have to be as extreme as getting into the water. But I think most women have some kind of fantasy, so here is your chance to fulfill it.

I especially want to pitch these to moms of pre-teen and teenage daughters out there. You remember that phase of not feeling pretty, feeling awkward and just out of place. Here is a chance to give a gift of acceptance to your daughter (or sister, neice, granddaughter). Help her to realize that its her thats beautiful - everything about her is what makes her unique - lets celebrate it! It really is a fun experience, especially for someone who doesnt feel all that confident in themselves. The total package will come with the fun of playing dress up and finding the perfect dress, I can also do their make up as well (sorry, Im not good with hair though!), then we will discuss what she wants, find the perfect location, and then just go out and have some fun. Ive done this with several girls and they all come out on the other side and say they had so much fun and they really did feel beautiful. I want all girls to feel beautiful - no matter what their size, shape, or "imperfections" are. They deserve to be celebrated - Id love to be a part of making that happen... :) (I think its always good for a girl/woman to have a few beautiful pictures of herself to pull out on those "bad" days to remember what she really does look like!)

Cinderella, part two - third night - Columbus MS Photographer

And we now come to the third night of the ball... the most spectacular spectacular.... these were done at Friendship Cemetery and at the Amzi Love and Lincoln Houses/gardens... I think they turned out amazing and I hope you do too!Model: Maritta Rondeau

It is always a mix of excitement and sadness when a project is done. There is no feeling in the world like seeing your vision come to life, and I would be remiss if I didnt thank everyone involved - it couldnt have happened without each and every one of you and I am forever grateful for your generosity and hospitality. Its also sad because its over and I truly did love working on this shoot.

But soon will come the next one and its completely opposite of this one as now I start the work of the "7 Deadly Sins" project... Im really excited and nervous.... I hope I can do it justice and make the visions I have in my head come to life (or death as the case may be for some)... I hope all of you stay tuned so you can stay updated on whats happening... :)
