Brianna - Columbus MS Photographer

Ok, yall can quit calling me a tease now because look! Im actually getting Brianna's pictures up. Brianna is my neice and I think she is gorgeous - she is tall, has the most perfect skin and freckles, and these long limbs and neck that she doesnt quite know what to do with - meaning that I knew she was beautiful, but she has a harder time believing that sometimes.... and she just happened to be staying at our house one night, and if you are staying at our house, there is a pretty good chance Im going to make you pose for some pics... :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how these turned out... and I love that Brianna was true to herself and wore her glasses -she totally rocked these out! (can yall believe she is only 13?!!!)So yeah... I think Brianna definitely has a bright future in modeling if she wants it... actually I think she has a bright future no matter what she decides to do. :)

I hope these made you happy and will last you for just a little bit... Ill be out of the office tomorrow on a fun field trip... Ill be back Wednesday! Email me at talleyimages@yahoo.com - Id love to hear from you!

Merit Award - Columbus MS Photographer

As I mentioned earlier... I participated in the Cotton District Arts Festival Jurored art show this past Saturday... and I won a Merit Award.  I was so, so excited!

I entered 3 photos, and the one that I loved was the one that took the award.  It made me feel so validated as an artist.  There is absolutly no better feeling than to know that someone believes in your work.  Amazing!

Cinderella, part two - second night - Columbus MS Photographer

So here we are with Cinderella again, on the second night of the ball... This time our gracious host, Jennifer, allowed us to use her house, The Painted Lady, which was amazing.

What was so funny about this shoot is that Maritta and I had to plan all the styling (jewelry, dresses, hair, etc) over email and neither of us had been in any of the three houses, so we really didnt know which dress would work best for each location. But as we showed up in each dress, it fit perfectly with the house in a way that the others wouldnt - can we say divine intervention? Awesome!
This room was amazing!
I love the moodiness of this one.Model: Maritta Rondeau
Hair Stylist: Brii Alicea from the "Hair Studio" in Starkville, MS
Make-up: Maritta Rondeau
Fashion Stylist: Maritta Rondeau
Vendor: Oooh La La Boutique in Starkville, MS
Location: The Painted Lady

Once again, a huge thank you to everyone involved! Especially Jennifer and Katie Rose for letting us use their amazing house. As you can see, it was divine - and it would be perfect for a weekend trip to Columbus (you know you want to stay in that princess bed!) or a little girls tea party or even a wedding rehearsal. Jennifer is the most amazing hostess and she will treat you like Victorian royalty so you definitely should go by and see her!

One more night to go... and Ill go ahead and tell you, the dress for this next one is unbelievable!

Im still looking for a few vendors to work with on some styled wedding/bridal shoots that are upcoming... would love to work with some new florists, bakers and stylists.... or if you have something that you think would work, let me know. Email me at talleyimages@yahoo.com

Cinderella, part two - first night - Columbus Ms Photographer

So if youve been on facebook lately, then youve probably seen a few of these, but I wanted to do a more detailed post. If you go back to the part one of the Cinderella shoot, I posted a link to the original Grimm version of the fairytale, and in that version, the ball goes on for 3 nights. Each night, Cinderella is given a different dress that keep getting more and more beautiful, so that is what I really wanted to do. So there are 3 different parts to the actual part 2 shoot... and all done on the same day!

So here we go... this first set was done at the Jackie O'House.

Model: Maritta Rondeau

Hair Stylist: Brii Alicea from the "Hair Studio" in Starkville, MS

Make-up: Maritta Rondeau

Fashion Stylist: Maritta Rondeau

Vendor: Oooh La La Boutique in Starkville, MS

Location: Jackie O' House

A huge thank you to everyone involved. Maritta was there for 4 hours in heels and not a word of complaint. She is an amazing model and I loved every second with her. If you are interested in working with her, contact her on facebook. She also did an amazing job with all the jewelry and makeup as well. Thank you to the Ooooh La La Boutique in Starkville for letting us borrow all the jewelry and accessories as well - they turned out amazing! And to Brii for doing an amazing job on the hair - thank you!

Also, thank you to the Jackie O'House for letting us shoot there. Maritta and I both fell in love with the house while we were there. What I love about this house is that there is always someone around to help you, but they stay out of your way and dont bother you so if you go and stay, its like its your own personal antebellum home, but if you need anything, there is always someone to help... love that!

I am always looking for new vendors to work with... if you are interested, email me at talleyimages@yahoo.com

So now that youve seen this one, betcha cant wait to come back for the other two... :)

Cinderella, part one - Columbus MS Photographer

As most of you know, I am working on a series of fairytale shoots... and Cinderella was high on my list, but I definitely had to find the right girl. And I was so lucky to find Maritta - not only is she an amazing model (and super sweet), but she is also a fashion stylist. We worked together and came up with a few great concepts and I was so excited to see these images after we finished the shoot. I was even more excited when I got to editing and could really tweak them (although they didnt need much).

I really wanted to get away from the Disney/safe version... I wanted to get back to the darker, more original Grimm version, so if a few parts look a bit unfamiliar (like the bird), then catch up on your reading... and look forward to the second part of the shoot that will be upcoming. All credits are below the pictures.Photographer : Addie Talley

I am definitely looking forward to continuing in on with the fairytale shoots - I have 2-3 more and then I will be done.... the next series will be very dark, gritty and raw - and very, very over-the-top - Im betting you can guess how excited I am - I will also be doing a casting call for that series, so if you are interested (and you dont have to be a professional model, I love all looks), then keep watching facebook for that.

Speaking of facebook, I have two different contests going on right now... a senior pictures contest and also Im doing a giveaway - I cant wait to see all the entries... what are you waiting for?

Feel free to email me at talleyimages@yahoo.com and lets get you on the books, Im starting to fill up and you dont want to miss it!
