Blessed

This week has brought many blessings....

If you live in Columbus and read the Commercial Dispatch, then you may be wondering why the above picture looks so familiar..... well, it would be because it was the cover of the Sunday paper's wedding insert. I beamed when I saw it - it feels amazing to be rewarded for doing something you love. So I have to take a minute to thank Kristi and Hayes (the bride and groom) for being amazing and beautiful and the sweetest people ever. I am honored that they let me be a part of such a wonderful day. Also, thanks to the Commercial Dispatch for letting us "little-known" photographers break into the scene every once in awhile.

And.... Yesterday was my 7th anniversary... with no itch, even.... These have been the best 7 years of my life, and I owe it all to the most wonderful, beautiful, amazing man.... He just gets me and lets me be me.... I couldnt ask for anything better.... 7 years ago today, I wasnt sure that I could love him more than I did in that moment, but it has happened.... and it has been magic!

To all my couples.... I wish you all the joy that Ive had.... :)

And I want to say thank you to everyone who has left a comment or emailed me or let me have the privilege of working with you.... I owe so much to you.... on my bad days, you keep me going.... on my good days, you make it even sweeter.... I dont have words enough to thank you for allowing me the joy of doing what I love....

Nathan

Nathan is a sweetheart of a boy..... and he has the most amazing red hair and bright blue eyes - he is a knockout all around. It was such a pleasure to work with him, whereas most kids would be ill on such a hot day, he was just a joy to be around!

Sunrise

Some days I just dont carry my big camera with me b/c Im just going to work and then back home. If I think of something to photograph, then I can just grab my camera at home and go shoot. As I was leaving for work one day before dawn, I noticed a slight hint of light and noticed that there seemed to be a bit more color than usual. I turned the car around and went back for my camera. I headed to a large hill that was close to work and snapped away. It was glorious! I was a few minutes late to work that day, but I think it was worth it.


Its like the sky was on fire!

Skaters

I went down to the local skate park and asked around if they would mind if I took their pics. They didnt and I think I got some good shots. Skaters are so misunderstood - theyre actually really talented and really nice.
