Whitney and Michael - the Wedding!

So I have to go ahead and apologize b/c there are seriously like a million pictures here - editing things down is one of my biggest weaknesses. I cant help it. I want you to experience it like you were there. Michael and Whitney are amazing and so was their wedding.... check out some of these details.

The dress... look at how gorgeous this thing is.

I am a ring-shot fanatic... so I had to show you a few.

The groom arrived first.

And then the bride got there....

Whitney was absolutely stunning....

The first look.... If I could convince everyone to do this, I would... you cannot even imagine how beautiful and intimate this is.... and it is truly the way to go if you want your future husband to be the first one to see you.

Bonus for a first look: plenty of time for pictures! It looked like rain that day, so we got these fun shots in before it actually started.

Under the veil... so gorgeous!

I dont show alot of formals, but I love this one of the guys...

One of the sweetest looks Ive ever seen from a groom.... if anyone thinks a first look ruins the first time the groom sees the bride walking down the aisle... I submit this as proof that they are completely wrong.

Same goes for the bride...

Married!

Their reception was at the Lee Home... Ive done a few receptions here and I love how it always looks different to suit the couple... I was in love with all the twinkling lights on the porch.

And the inside was just as gorgeous...

Thane

This is the third session Ive had with Thane... and each new time I see him, I am always amazed at how much bigger and smarter he is.... he is definitely a thinker. Very serious. See... what did I tell you... but isnt he gorgeous?!

Love this one with him and his mom.

This one is so my favorite.... if it doesnt make you smile, then I dont know what will.

This one is so incredibly sweet... I cant stand it!

One of my ultimate goals for all my sessions, from children to weddings, is to capture who the subject is.... what makes them who they are. I think this session of Thane's is a perfect example of that. I didnt intrude or force him to pose - I captured him as he was that day and I love the results.... and I think his mom did too (hey Amy!).... These are the moments that you will want to remember.

I am just about booked for this year.... I am not taking any more clients after November (unless youve already spoken to me) until next year. We are adopting a little boy from Hong Kong and we are hoping to travel in November or December, so Im having to keep it light. Speaking of - all profits from this photography business are going towards our adoption right now - so you can feel good about spending money on getting your pictures done because you are helping a little boy come home to his family.

Ellora

Ellora... isnt that the most magical princess name you've heard in a long time? And its so fitting. If you scroll down a few posts, you will see the session we did before she made her arrival. I predicted then a gorgeous baby... and I was right. So tiny at 2 weeks old.

Look at all that hair!

I adore this one... look how much he loves the two girls in his life....

I love this family.... thank you for letting me be there for some of those first precious moments... and to meet a few more of your family. All of you are so beautiful and gracious... made my job so easy.... thank you! I cant wait to see you again.
